The fact that the Japanese population is aging rapidly, combined with the widespread use of the Internet and other automated technology, has brought about a chronic lack of exercise and many adult health problems, including neuroses caused by extreme stress.
In order to cope with these problems, our university is training acupuncture and moxibustion therapists possessed of outstanding technique, knowledge and a sense of compassion to help other people. This was made possible by cooperation with Nihon Pharmaceutical University, which established the Department of Chinese Pharmaceutical Science for the first time in Japan.
The purpose of establishing this school was to help solve the serious, above-mentioned social problems, through the alternative remedies of “acupuncture” and “moxibustion,” by applying Oriental medicine to areas which Occidental medicine could not cover in the past. Our school aims to cultivate acupuncture and moxibustion therapists who have a gentle and loving heart, reliable knowledge and a good balance of proper attitude, technique and physical condition.
